Richard Thornton
Stage Manager
Richard is a seasoned stage manager with a wealth of experience in the theatre industry. He has worked on various productions, including 'Fairway to Heaven' with ABC, where he managed backstage operations related to set and props. In addition to his work with ABC, Richard is also actively involved with Denbigh Phoenix Players and Suitcase Theatre in similar capacities. His dedication to the craft is further evidenced by his on-stage performances at prestigious venues such as Theatr Clwyd, where he has showcased his talent in productions of Shakespeare's 'Winters Tale' and Stoppard's 'The Real Inspector Hound'. Richard's multifaceted experience make him a valuable asset to any production team.

Hello, my name is Zoe and I became a member of the ABC drama group in 2023, assuming the role of "Maria," a spirited Spanish character known for her expressive nature and tendency to use a handbag as a comedic prop. The experience was immensely fulfilling, prompting my return for our current production.

Hi there! So, in 2023, I joined this awesome group called the ABC Drama Group. It's been such fun. I got to play Lady Fotheringham in our show "Fairway to Heaven." And, it's been a real joy. ABC has kept me busy in the winter months before the bowling season starts again. Right now, I'm getting ready to tackle another snooty character in our next play. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!

Hey there, I'm Lisa! I'm part of the ABC family and I played three different characters in "Fairway to Heaven" since joining in 2023. The winter months are very busy with ABC before I start playing bowls again in the spring. I'm excited to share that in our next show, "The Lady Vanishes," I'll be playing the role of Mrs. Barnes. Can't wait to bring this character to life for you all!

Forty years ago, my involvement in the theatrical world began when my daughter participated in a pantomime. Recognizing an opportunity to contribute, I volunteered to assist by preparing tea, thus embarking on a journey that has since become a significant part of my life. My initial foray onto the stage was as a member of the chorus, leading to an extensive tenure with a drama and pantomime company where I earned my NODA badges.

Hi. I'm Ian . I moved to Denbigh in 2021.The locals are friendly so I'm staying. I'm closing on 70, retired and kept busy fostering rescue dogs for Almost Home Dog Rescue nr Mold. Slipped into Am Dram rather late in life and find I really enjoy it.Very happy to have been cast to play Todhunter.

This is very different from my usual pursuits of cycling and running, but its a thrill, especially playing Max who is like me a mix of silly and serious. The show is a humorous fast paced classic.

My experience includes portraying a 7-year-old character in the production of Blue Remembered Hills, which was a highly enjoyable experience. Currently, I am a member of Theatre Clwyd, a reputable theatre group where I continue to hone my skills and contribute to the artistic community.

My name is Heather Ramsay and I joined ABC in 2024 to play the part of Iris in The Lady Vanishes. I went to St Brigid's school in Denbigh where theatre was central to the school's community ethos. I studied drama and theatre studies up to degree level attaining a 2:1 from Liverpool Hope University. I have studied teaching, youth work and have a master's certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills.
